Ancient Rome wins on stable debut at Goodwood

We have only had Ancient Rome in the yard a couple of weeks, but what we had seen we were impressed with. He’s a very good looking horse, who has settled in well and had done a couple of nice bits of work. The draw at Goodwood didn’t look ideal and the trip was a bit of a question mark, but he saw it out very well to win under another brilliant Jamie Spencer ride. He will probably be stepped back up in grade now and is an exciting horse to have around.
