Khaadem wins the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes

Khaadem has always had plenty of ability, and wins at Group 2 and Group 3 level prove that. Until now he has come up short in Group 1’s, but he was fourth in this race in 2020 and fourth in the Nunthorpe last year, so has operated well at the top level. His price probably reflected his most recent form, especially his dismal runs in Dubai. He has been there three times now and never run well, however the winter in the sun certainly doesn’t seem to do him any harm as he always comes back here and runs well.

We are delighted for his owners Dr Jim and Fitri Hay. They have been great supporters for ours and stepped up to buy this horse and Equilateral privately when their previous owners decided to sell them. Had it not been for the Hay’s we could have lost the horses, and all the fun and success they have given us. We can’t not mention Jamie Spencer who gave him the most amazing ride, and has now ridden three individual Group 1 winners for us.

The horse himself lost very little weight and has come out of the race well - he’s a huge testament to our talented team to home. He will be seen in all the top sprints this year and hopefully now he’s got the winning feeling he will continue in the same vein!!
