Saratoga Gold is a Derby winner

The blinkers have really worked the trick on Saratoga Gold, and following his win at Newbury under Kayleigh it was Dan’s turn to do the steering in the Amateur Derby at Epsom. It’s great to be able to give good riders such as Dan and Kayleigh opportunities in these races, as along with the rest of the team at home they work really hard. The atmosphere in the yard on Tuesday morning was like we had had a Group 1 winner. A big thank you must go Saratoga Gold’s owners for running in these races and having the faith in us to put the right people on the horse. As for the horse himself - he couldn’t really understand what all the fuss was about!
