Khaadem does it his way at Keeneland

What more can we say about our favourite quirky character. To add to his glittering CV of two Golden Jubilee’s at Ascot, the King George at Goodwood, The Palace House at Newmarket and the Stewards Cup - not to mention multiple placings at the top level, he now has a North American Grade 2 in the shape of the Woodford Stakes at Keeneland.

After his run at Kentucky Downs it was decided to leave him in America as he wasn’t going to get his favoured fast ground in this country. He has been boarding with one of our great friends Ed Vaughan, who has a small stable at Keeneland which suits Khaadem perfectly. Khaadem can also train on a quiet training track, rather than the main track, which has a synthetic surface similar to our all weather gallops at home. He will stay with Ed, who has done such a great job, until he hopefully makes the trip to Del Mar for the Breeders Cup Sprint.

With a combined age of 63 it would be great if he and Frankie could pull it off in California!
